Tales from the road (part 24)

At first, it looked as if the gig at Pottahawk point was going to be disastrous as the pontoon from which the artists were set to perform sank and nearly drown opening act The Golden Mitchums.


But a bigger raft was towed out to save the day and the shows went on without further incident. Private Sector played a commanding set in the blazing sun with the highlight being a surprise guest appearance of Johnny Wad on drums for a few numbers and a frenzied crowd enjoyed every drunken minute of it.
